This training resource has been funded by the Department of Health as part of the National Autism Strategy. It has been written and produced by Dr Tom Berney, Professor Terry Brugha and Dr Peter Carpenter with the support of the Centre for Advanced Learning and Conferences. The resource contains extracts from a series of filmed diagnostic interviews with 6 adults with ASD (subjects), together with individuals who know them very well (informants) to illustrate common traits associated with ASD.
The extracts have then been structured around a diagnostic interview guide. This guide is a downloadable PDF designed by clinicians, for clinicians, which can be used in the assessment and diagnosis of ASD in straightforward cases.
