College Assessor training day- Tuesday, 26 April 2016, Manchester

All NHS psychiatrist appointments are required to have an RCPsych College Assessor attending the interview panel, providing a College perspective to the selection and recruitment of psychiatrists and ensuring candidates are appointable to the posts. The College currently has over 450 College Assessors doing this work and is keen to recruit more. If you are interested in becoming a College Assessor and getting involved in this interesting and flexible work, the College is holding a training day in central Manchester on 26 April, which is free to attend. The basic requirement to be a College Assessor is that you have been in a substantive consultant role for three years or more and your nomination is approved by your local College division, regional advisor or faculty. For further information on becoming a College Assessor, please visit the workforce pages of the website and email workforce@rcpsych.ac.uk to reserve a place on the training day.
