Dr Fiona Mason, Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and Chief Medical Officer St Andrew’s Healthcare:

"As the Associate Registrar for Leadership and Management, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to these web pages.

Psychiatric leadership is fundamental to services, and to ensuring safety, clinical effectiveness and improved patient experience.

I am clear that psychiatrists need to be involved in service management and development, thus improving health for all. I’m therefore thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the development of leadership and management across all specialities and grades within psychiatry. In my role at the College I will be focussing on key areas including education, networks and comprehensive membership engagement. I would welcome your thoughts and ideas, and look forward to meeting many of you at the forthcoming events we have planned."
