The Royal College of Psychiatrists Improving the lives of people with mental illness

RCPsych Dinwoodie Research Fellow for Children First

The College has an exciting opportunity for a trainee member of the College (within Higher Specialty Training) to undertake a one year Fellowship to research and develop the core curriculum focusing on the needs of Young Carers.

You will currently be in higher specialty training and have an interest in working with children and families.  You will be keen to change cultural attitudes amongst medical practitioners regarding practice towards Young Carers and may be interested in undertaking a Master’s Degree.

The Dinwoodie Settlement focusses on supporting doctors in training to develop their research skills and the College has identified promoting the understanding of the needs of young carers as a priority.  This project is a key component in achieving this aim.

Contact Nikki.Cochrane@RCPsych.ac.uk if you have any queries.

Closing date for applications: 12 noon, Monday 9 October 2017.

Please send applications to hr@rcpsych.ac.uk.
