Participation in the Quality Mark scheme involves successive
periods of data collection and action planning. Wards sign up to
take part in data collection periods that begin in February or
September each year.
The first wave of wards (listed here) who took part
post-pilot completed data collection in December 2012 for Stage I
of the award. Eighteen of these wards (listed
here) completed Stage I.
The second wave of wards (listed here) who
took part in Stage I completed data collection in May
2013. Twenty-nine of these wards (listed here) completed
If you work on any of these wards, or are a patient aged 65
or above spending a minimum of two nights on any listed ward
within this period, you should be offered the opportunity to
complete a questionnaire about your
experience. Patients/carers can request a Patient
Questionnaire and self-addressed envelope from the ward
manager. Members of staff working on the ward can access the
Staff Questionnaire online using your ward's login
information. Please contact a member of the Project Team if this has not
been possible, or if you have any queries.
