UK Memory Services Register
The Department of Health in collaboration with the Memory
Services National Accreditation Programme created a register of UK
memory services/clinics in 2012.
UK memory
services and memory clinics (NHS and
private) involved in the assessment and diagnosis of dementia,
were asked to register themselves using an online form.
The
information gathered gives both a local and national picture about
the availability of memory services in the UK and can be used in
part to monitor the impact of the Prime Minister’s Challenge on
Dementia. The information on location of memory services is
published on our website (see right), which we hope will be a
useful tool for clinicians, commissioners and patients and
carers.
