Governance
AIMS is a collaboration between the Royal College of Psychiatrists,
the British Psychological Society, the College of Occupational
Therapists, the Royal College of Nursing and (for AIMS-PICU)
the National Association of Psychiatric Intensive Care Units and
Low Secure Units (NAPICU).
The AIMS process is governed by several staff and committees:
Advisory Group
For each branch of AIMS, there is a group of people that are
involved in the ongoing review and development of the Standards. Details of the people that sit on
each advisory group are being finalised and will be available here
shortly.
AIMS Accreditation Committee (AC)
The AIMS Accreditation Committee makes decisions about the
accreditation status of each service that is reviewed under the
programme. The members are:

Royal College of Psychiatrists Special Committee
on Professional Practice and Ethics (SCPPE)
The SCPPE is the awarding body of the Royal College of
Psychiatrists, and all accreditation decisions must be ratified by
them before they can be awarded to member services.
This year, the SCPPE will meet on the following dates:
- April 25th 2012
- July 11th 2012
- October 11th 2012
