Opportunities to work within Therapeutic Communities

The following posts are for the Lioncare Group based in the Brighton and Hove areas.

 

Child Care Workers (£16,550.00 to £16,925.00)

Working in our Therapeutic Homes and supporting children attending our Therapeutic School, your role and duties are similar to those of a Therapeutic Carer, except that you will also be undertaking our 6-month work-based basic training programme that will equip you with the skills and knowledge allowing you to be considered for automatic promotion to Therapeutic Carer following relevant assessment.

Waking Night Therapeutic Carer (£18,046 £17,£19,331.00)

Working in our Therapeutic Homes, your role is to remain awake throughout the night and ensure the safety and well-being of the children living in the home, and the sleeping-in adult, are maintained at all times.  You will also be expected to undertake domestic duties including laundry and light cleaning, record information and take a lead role in managing (with support) situations and eventualities including emergencies whilst on duty.

Working in our Therapeutic Homes and supporting children attending our Therapeutic School, your role is to meet the everyday but complex and challenging needs of the children and young people in our care, support them in understanding and managing their conflicted emotions and behaviour, and offer them real and meaningful experiences of living, relating, and learning.
