The General and Community
Faculty are looking at ways to improve communication with
all our members. In particular, we want to make sure you only
receive relevant emails. The College can send emails to those
members who have both indicated an interest in a particular area
and have registered an email address with the College. We are
therefore encouraging everyone to ensure that their user
profile on the Royal College of Psychiatrists website is up to
date. You will be asked for your username and password.
If you have forgotten your log in details you can ask for a
reminder.
If you have not registered for the Members’
Area you will need to go here and follow the
instructions to register. When you have logged in, please go to the
Contact Details section and check that your email address and
other contact details are up to date.
In order to indicate your
subspecialties of interest, please go to the
Professional Details section.
On the Professional Details page, select your
specialty by clicking in the relevant checkbox. There is an
additional subsection for General/Adult which can be accessed by
clicking on the plus sign. You will then see a list of
subspecialties, including in-patient care, CRHT, EIP, CMHT, day
care, primary care liaison and Assertive Outreach. Select all those
subspecialties relevant to your area of work by clicking on the
description and then enter the number of clinical PAs for this
subspecialty. Once you have indicated all the relevant
subspecialties, click on the ‘Submit change of details’
submission button.
Just to repeat – this is
not so that we can deluge you with emails, but so that we can
ensure you do receive important items which are of interest and
relevance to you. All the information you provide (including your
email address) will remain confidential and will not be given to
anyone else. Any messages we send will be in a format which does
not allow anyone else to view your address. If you have any
questions, email us.
