Dr Helen Crimlisk

Chair, Leadership and Management Committee

Dr Helen Crimlisk is a consultant in Community Psychiatry and Deputy Medical Director at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. She is also Psychiatry Lead and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield. She trained at the Maudsley, undertaking research in Neuropsychiatry at Queen Square, London.

She takes over as Chair of the Management and Leadership Committee in Autumn 2019. She is a Health Foundation Generation Q Fellow and has interests in leadership, quality improvement, service user engagement & experience, education and workforce developments. She has led on a number of teaching and recruitment initiatives in psychiatry, on innovations in education including Lived Experience Educators and on workforce developments including Physician Associates, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Peer Workers in mental health settings.

She is a member of the General Adult and the Executive Committees and sits on the Workforce Committee and the Undergraduate Leads Committee. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators.

She has trained and worked part-time as both a trainee and a consultant and has also lived and worked in Germany.
