Dr Lucia Li

Imperial College London

I am an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Neurology. My subspecialty interest is Traumatic Brain Injury, and my academic work is strongly influenced by my clinical practice in this area. My research uses multimodal methods to assess outcomes and treatments for the consequences of traumatic brain injury (TBI). My most recent projects have used novel combined brain stimulation-brain imaging techniques to investigate the potential for brain stimulation as a treatment for cognitive deficits after TBI.

My current work is in 3 strands:
(1) Using advanced MRI and pupillometry to investigate emotional function after TBI,
(2) Characterising and exploring reasons for, and consequences of, autonomic dysfunction after TBI, and
(3) Using wearable technology and remote monitoring, combined with machine learning techniques, to understand 'real world' recovery after TBI.
