Dr Noham Wolpe

Dr Wolpe is a National Institute of Health Research Academic Clinical Fellow in general psychiatry at the University of Cambridge and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. Prior to this, he was a Gates Scholar at the University of Cambridge, where he completed a PhD and post-doctoral training. He completed his MD at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His broad research interest is in the interplay between cognition and action in humans. His previous work has covered volition, perception of action and cognitive contributions to motor control. He is currently investigating the mechanism by which deficits in motivation impair the engagement in goal-directed behaviour in patients and in old age. For his research, he uses computational neuroscience and neuroimaging methods.
