Dr Regi Alexander

Dr Regi Alexander is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust and has been a practising clinician for over 20 years. With research interests focusing on the psychiatry of neurodevelopmental disorders, he is the author of over 50 peer reviewed publications.
A member of the NICE guidelines panel on mental health in learning disability and the editor of a number of RCPsych treatment guidelines, he is the Associate Dean of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Editor of the Oxford Textbook of Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability, Deputy Editor of BJPsych Open and Convenor of RADiANT- a research consortium that brings together a large number of NHS Trusts, university academics, service users and family members.
With a particular interest in public education, he edits Village Voice, an award winning community magazine in East Anglia. In 2018, he was awarded the President's medal of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
