Please use the resources and advice below to promote a career in psychiatry to the following groups.
Case study - St George's University of London PsychSoc
The Psychiatry Society ('PsychSoc') at St George’s University of London (SGUL) had a stand at the university’s Fresher’s Fayre in September 2022. They contacted the Careers Team at the College to request branded merchandise and our careers in psychiatry guide to display on the day. We sent them a range of branded items including coasters, pens and water bottles as well as copies of our booklets
They had a very successful day, with 100 new medical students signing up to their Psych Soc newsletter.
The SGUL PsychSoc said “People seemed to really like the freebies and we almost distributed all of it”.
How we can support you
The Careers Team were very happy to support the PsychSoc at SGUL and if you are holding events in the future where you would like to display/distribute our merchandise and booklets, please email careers@rcpsych.ac.uk with full details of your event and we would be pleased to send you some items.
