Resilience and Wellbeing Course for SAS Doctors 2019

Event Information

This informal, interactive course has been specifically designed for SAS doctors.

The media frequently reports on NHS staff working under extremely stressful conditions as well as a record numbers of doctors experiencing burnout.

Although the primary responsibility to act is on the government and Trusts, there are also various steps that we can take individually to help us cope more effectively both at work and outside.

Based upon research and practice, the course focuses on actions that are more likely to increase resilience and wellbeing.

It will look at various questions, including:

  • What is burnout?
  • How can we become more resilient?
  • Can we manage our time better?
  • Can CBT help the helpers?
  • What exactly is Mindfulness and does it actually change our brains?

There will be questionnaires and handouts. The course will end with developing a simple personalised plan, building on what has been covered, that can be incorporated into our everyday lives.

Please note that there are a limited number of spaces available.
