Psych Star Scheme information evening

Event Information

The College is hosting a free information evening for medical students who are interested in applying for the Psych Star Scheme 2024/25. The event will provide an opportunity to hear from Dr Declan Hyland, Associate Dean for Choose Psychiatry and Lead Clinician for the scheme.

You will also hear from a current Psych Star and a Psych Star mentor who will share their experience of the scheme, provide tips for applying and explain how they are finding being on the scheme. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the scheme and the application process. We look forward to seeing you.

Application window opens: 23 February @ 10.30am

The event is taking place online via Zoom. To take part you will need:  

  • access to a reliable internet connection  
  • a PC, laptop, tablet or phone  
  • Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser or Zoom installed on your PC, laptop, tablet or phone  

  • You do not need to have a Zoom account to attend.  

Some users may experience difficulty joining Zoom meetings due to security settings. If this is the case, we suggest you select the option to join via a web browser, rather than the Zoom app. If you cannot join on your computer you can still join on your phone.  Please take a look at this helpful guide on how to join a Zoom meeting.
