The 2022 International Congress will be taking place in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh will be our first face-to-face Congress in three years and a welcome chance to get out and about again. Edinburgh is steeped in history and culture and is the perfect location to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of a diverse and vibrant city. Whether this is your first time visiting or 100th, there are several fascinating stories to discover.

In 2022 we are very much hoping to meet again for an in-person International Congress in the fabulous city of Edinburgh.

We understand there is still some uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and the running of live events but we want to assure you that we are considering all eventualities and monitoring the situation carefully.

In 2023 we will move back online to deliver another innovative virtual International Congress, using the best of technology to deliver our cutting-edge programme.

Please note that the Early Bird fee will apply until Wednesday 31 March.

Fees for Congress vary depending on several factors. The earlier you book, the more money you will save. Please note that the Early Bird fee is only available up until 31st March 2022

If you are not based in the UK and not yet a member of the College, you may benefit from becoming an International Member. International members have access to a multitude of resources to continue their professional development, including reduced booking fees for our Congress.

Yes, Early Bird rates will apply until Thursday 31 March 2022 from that point on you will be charged the Standard rate.

If you are presenting or chairing a session/masterclass in the main Congress programme you will be offered complimentary registration for the day you are presenting. You do not have to book for this day you will be automatically registered. 

If you wish to attend any further days of the Congress you will need to book and pay for this online. 

Please note poster presenters will not be offered complimentary registration. 

Yes, please email a pdf copy of your voucher/s to and specify which fee you are expecting to pay. 

We will then ask you to arrange a BACS transfer for the remaining cost. Please note that we cannot provide change for any vouchers partially used.

If an event has to be cancelled or rescheduled we will contact you as soon as possible to notify you of the change. You will be offered an alternative or a full refund.  

We cannot reimburse travel, accommodation or other costs related to the event.  

If you need to cancel your booking, we will be able to refund you as follows:  

  • 80% up to one month before the first day of the event  

  • 50% between one month and up to two weeks before the first day of the event  

We will not be able to offer any refunds where cancellation is received with less than two weeks’ notice.  

All cancellations must be received in writing.


Of course! Anyone with an interest in psychiatry is welcome to attend Congress. If you are not a member of the College you will be required to pay the non-member fee once booking opens.

If you are interested in becoming a member, which will entitle you to our reduced Congress registration fees, you can find full details of our membership grades online.

We intended to record keynote presentations and some sessions/masterclasses from Congress 2022 (where speakers have given us permission). These will be made available after the Congress has finished.

Those who have purchased a whole conference ticket will be able to access these at no further cost. Please note that delegates who have purchased a day ticket/s will NOT receive these recordings.

There will however, be an opportunity after the Congress has finished to purchase some of these recordings. More information will be provided shortly.

Suggestions for sessions and masterclasses at the 2022 Congress have now closed. 

All submissions are now under review, we will be in touch shortly to let you know the outcome.

Submissions for poster presentations will be available later in the year. Keep an eye on our website or sign up for our 2022 mailing list for more information.

Bookings for the 2021 on-demand content will close on Friday 17 December 2021. All content will be available to watch on-demand until Friday 31 December 2021.
