The Royal College of Psychiatrists Improving the lives of people with mental illness

10 December: Feeling on the Edge?

Most of us look forward to Christmas but for people living with mental illness it can be a very challenging time of year. Many feel lonely and isolated from family and friends and others may be anxious about social situations or have worries about money problems or debt.

Each day leading up to Christmas we’re highlighting a different mental health resource from our site, which we hope will provide help and support not just for now, but throughout 2018 and beyond.

For 10 December we’ve chosen our information about feeling on the edge.  Sometimes we can become so distressed that it feels like nobody will understand. It's important not to feel as though you have to cope with all of your problems alone. Our information about feeling on the edge is for people who feel unable to cope with their problems, or people who are concerned about someone else.
