All-Party Group on Suicide Prevention
The Assembly's All-Party Group on Suicide Prevention held a meeting at Stormont and both Drs Gerry Lynch and Michael Doherty were in attendance.
The meeting, chaired by Flynn MLA heard from the Public Health Agency and an update on its Protect Life 2 Stakeholder Engagement Workshops, from both Belfast HSC Trust and Contact NI on the Lifeline Service Transition.
Ulster University's Professor Siobhan O’Neill spoke on recent research findings on students and suicide. Time, however, did not permit a discussion on the Suicide Prevention Bill.
