The Royal College of Psychiatrists Wales is delighted to announce its 2019 Old Age Faculty Conference 'At the Coalface'.
This conference takes place at the iconic, Big Pit National Coal Museum on the 1st November.
Presentations will be delivered by a number of eminent speakers,
Dr Jill Rasmussen will talk about Dementia: Identifying Those “At Risk” – and the role of Primary and Secondary Care.
Prof Rob Howard, will update on results of the ATTILA trial – “Can assistive technology keep people with dementia safe for longer in their own homes”?
Dr Iain Lyburn and Dr Tarun Kuruvilla will present on neuroimaging for dementia.
RCPsych College Centre for Quality Improvement will present on the work of CCQI and of the National Audit for Dementia.
The 'At the Coalface' Conference will begin at 10:00am and conclude at 2:45pm.
Should there be sufficient interest, we are keen to offer a tour of the Underground Mine following the final presentations and conference summary. This would begin at 2:45pm.
Online booking will be available from October 11.
This event is open to medical, health, social care and policy professionals who are not registered members of the College.
