Event Information

The North West Division is delighted to welcome Dr Chris O’Loughlin who will explore how supervisors and training organizers can adapt their approach to consider how best to support the individual needs of trainees and promote their development in this specialty.

Dr Chris O’Loughlin is the Head of School for Psychiatry in the East of England, coordinating training programmes across the Trusts, promoting recruitment, and supporting trainees.

He also works in the Deanery Professional Support and Wellbeing Service seeing trainees across specialties. His work with the Royal College includes Supervisor Training, working on the Choose Psychiatry Committee and being a CASC examiner.

Dr O’Loughlin has worked with trainees to improve the experience of ARCPs and led on the RCPsych response to Covid for trainee appraisals.  Away from work he does triathlons and is learning Italian.
