One day event
|Location||21 Prescot Street, London, E1 8BB|
This National Training Day on the Mental Health of Asylum Seekers is aimed at supporting clinicians in developing specialist skills and knowledge in working with Asylum Seekers and Refugees. It is the fourth in a series of study days run by the RCPsych MHAS Working Group, which was set up within the College to promote improved care for refugees and asylum seekers at a National level.
In this study day, we will be looking at issues in the mental health and management of asylum seekers across the life-cycle, with a series of talks from experts in the field drawn from a range of disciplines. We welcome all clinicians interested in this area including adult, child and forensic psychiatrists, psychologists, general practitioners, psychotherapists, and others working with asylum seekers and refugees in non-statutory and statutory settings. Prior knowledge or attendance at previous Training Days is not required.
