Stand for election to the RCPsych Council
We are inviting College members to stand for election for one of four elected positions on the RCPsych Council – which leads our work on being the voice of psychiatry throughout the world.
The Council, chaired by RCPsych President Dr Adrian James, leads our work on training and education, policy and campaigns, professional standards, standards and quality, research, and recruitment and retention.
Meeting four times a year, the RCPsych Council is made up of the Honorary Officers, Committee Chair Reps, Division Chairs, Faculty Chairs, elected members and co-opted members – and currently meets online, with a view to meet once a year in-person as part of our post-lockdown model.
The deadline for nominating yourself is midday on Friday 18 February and the successfully elected members will take up their roles in the summer after the AGM.
To apply you need to be a Member, Fellow or Specialist Associate.
You can see the job description and find the link to submit your nomination on our Council elections page.
There are also elections ongoing for a variety of roles on Faculties, Divisions, Special Interest Groups and the Psychiatric Trainees Committee. Please have a look at the vacancies on our website and consider standing for election to a College role.
