Veterans’ mental health event
Members with an interest in veterans’ mental health might be interested in an upcoming event organised by the King’s Centre for Military Health Research (KCMHR).
Professor Neil Greenberg, the College’s lead on veterans’ mental health, is one of the speakers at the KCMHR’s Mental Health Conference on 10 March.
The event, which is taking place at the College’s London headquarters, is being chaired by Professor Sir Simon Wessely, who is co-director of the KCMHR.
Talks will cover veterans’ mental health policy, what history can teach us, moral injury, and the use of virtual reality treatments. There’s also as a PhD showcase which includes oral and poster presentations. You can submit abstracts for this part of the event now.
Professor Greenberg said:
“If you’re a psychiatrist with an interest in veterans’ mental health this event looks like being a really good one for you. Tickets are running out fast so I recommend you act quickly.”
