Choose Psychiatry breaking records

This year’s Choose Psychiatry campaign has seen a record-breaking number of visits to the College website.

Choose Psychiatry

With nearly a week still to go, we’ve had 85,000 visits to the Choose Psychiatry area of the site with people staying an average of 2 minutes 20 seconds on those pages.

The previous record for number of page visits was 76,000 in 2019, while the previous record for average time on page was approximately 1 minute 30 seconds.

Within the Choose Psychiatry section, What is psychiatry? has been viewed 9,000 times, How to become a psychiatrist has been seen 6,000 times, and the campaign video has been watched over 1,000 times.

We’ve used a range of approaches to raise awareness of the campaign including paid social media, our own social media channels and working with influencers including Stephen Fry, Alastair Campbell and a range of individuals and organisations.

As a result, our Twitter promotion has led to over 37,000 page views, while Facebook has accounted for nearly 25,000 page views.

Google, including paid search, has resulted in nearly 18,000 page views.
