Net zero call for evidence

Our National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH) and College Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI) are working in collaboration with NHS England and Greener NHS to support their drive to become more sustainable.

As such, we’re inviting mental health services, trusts and boards to submit evidence – which could include case studies, quality improvement projects or findings from academic research – that demonstrates the implementation of measures to deliver greener, more sustainable or net zero mental health care.

We are interested in examples of interventions or approaches across the mental healthcare pathway that your service has initiated with the aim of delivering greener, more sustainable or net zero mental health care.

We are interested in receiving examples of what has worked, as well as what has not worked. The intervention or approach need not have been measured or evaluated, but where available, we would like to receive details of findings and/or outcomes.

We are also collecting service's Green Plans as part of this work and ask for these to be shared in addition to case studies/evidence if available.

The evidence submitted will inform a report and educational resources on delivering net zero mental health care, developed by the NCCMH and the CCQI. Find out more about the Net Zero project.

The deadline for submissions is 12pm on 11 April 2023.
