World Mental Health Day

The theme of this year’s World Mental Health Day was ‘Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority‘.

The College’s international work has taken a huge step forward over recent years, helped by our international strategy.

One way in which we marked 10 October was a blog post by our President, Dr Adrian James, focusing on three projects we’ve been involved in to improve mental health and wellbeing in different parts of the world.

In the blog post, Adrian praises the incredible efforts being made by the amazing community of mental health professionals who are making a difference globally.

Meanwhile RCPsych Publishing have worked with Cambridge University Press as part of a cross-discipline collection for World Mental Health Day.

Highlighting articles across the BJPsych, BJPsych Advances, BJPsych Bulletin, BJPsych Open and BJPsych International. And including articles from the Refugee and Asylum Seekers special issue and the chapters from the latest RCPsych book Evolutionary Psychiatry, you can see the collection below.

And RCPsych Wales celebrated the day with the launch of a commissioned poem by the Wales Children's Laureate, Connor Allen.
