The RCPsych Biennial Census is now available to read. The aim of the census report is to provide information at a point in time (31 March 2021) about psychiatric workforce and staffing.
This comprises numbers of consultant and specialty doctor psychiatrists across the UK. It provides evidence for future College policy as well as a dynamic historical record of the workforce over time.
It is hoped that an accurate picture of the psychiatric workforce through the quantity and quality of information obtained will assist in evidence-based decision making and improved services to our communities.
