Dr Regi Tharian Alexander, Professor Subodh Dave and Professor Robert Howard are all competing to become the 19th president of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

The President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Dr Lade Smith CBE, is calling on the UK Government to address the 'silent mental health pandemic' affecting people across England.

Get involved with the College – put yourself forward for an elected position on one of the Faculties, Divisions, Special Interest Groups or the Psychiatric Resident Doctors' Committee (PRDC).

The deadline for nominations has been extended to 20 February 2026 at 12 noon.
