This new and vitally important post is now open for members who are interested in promoting and supporting the development of Academic Psychiatry both throughout the career pathway and externally across medicine. Designing and delivering interventions to encourage widening participation and careers in academic psychiatry from medical school to consultant and SAS level, you will be particularly interested in reaching out to and supporting doctors in under-represented cohorts to consider a career in academic psychiatry. You will be able to use your leadership skills to create a network of key stakeholders, representing the Dean both internally and externally and identify, promote and increase academic training opportunities throughout Foundation to Higher Specialty Training.
Working with the Training & Workforce Team alongside the Academic Faculty and other stakeholders, you will develop and lead an exciting programme of work over the next five years to enhance the profile of academic training under the leadership of the Dean.
Please submit expressions of interest in the form of a short covering letter and CV via email to Philippa.email@example.com by no later than midnight Sunday 20 September 2020 with interviews taking place via Microsoft Teams video call on the morning of Friday 16 October 2020. Interviews are likely to be around 30 minutes and it is unlikely that we would be able to offer an alternative date.
