The College Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI) works with mental health services to improve the standard of care that people with mental health needs receive. We work with more than 90% of mental health service providers in the UK.
We currently run 28 quality networks that work across a range of mental health services. The networks set standards for mental health services and review services against them using self and peer-review. Services who can demonstrate a high level of compliance with the standards can be accredited by the College. Over 1550 services employing approximately 50,000 staff across the UK participate in these networks.
We are seeking a psychiatrist for the following post:

The Combined Committee reviews evidence from reviews of mental health services and decides the accreditation status. The Chair will work with a Deputy Chair to ensure that accreditation decisions are robust, consistent and fair. They will give feedback to CCQI staff to ensure the networks’ methods and standards are high quality. The successful candidate will have experience of chairing committees and work related to quality in mental health.
The appointee should expect, with the agreement of their employer, to spend 15 days per year in this role.
