Collaboration Platform Manager

  • Location : London
  • Status : Permanent contract
  • Salary : £43,544 - £48,327 per annum
  • Closing date : 28/02/2022
  • Interview date : 14/03/2022

This role provides a great opportunity to make a real difference to how an organisation works, by enabling the College to make best use of the collaboration platforms that are available.

Primarily you will act as the technical lead for the College SharePoint and Teams environment, with a focus on developing and improving the use of Microsoft365 Groups resources for both internal use and collaboration with our members and other external partners across the College. You will need a clear technical understanding of Microsoft 365 Groups services, and the identity management options for providing external access to different cohorts of partners. You will need to develop relationships with colleagues across the organisation to assess their requirements and proactively build technology solutions to meet their needs.

You will work closely with colleagues in the IS department, with the infrastructure team to understand how best to make use of Windows Defender and Cloud App Security to provide a coherent and appropriate security landscape for college information, and with the Applications team to provide advice and best practice insight for managing other collaboration applications, including AV systems. In all areas, you will need a long-term approach to building consistent and supportable approaches for Collaboration.

You will be responsible for training and upskilling, for both your colleagues in IS and for the broader user base, including guidance documentation and webinars, and providing escalation support where necessary.

Please note there will be two rounds of shortlisting. There will be an initial shortlist after the closing date (Monday 28 February 2022) where all successful shortlisted candidates will have to complete a work-related task and then after this there will be a further stage of shortlisting for the interview stage.
