About the role
The Royal College of Psychiatrists is the leading medical authority on mental health in the UK and is the professional and educational organisation for psychiatrists.
The Director of Information Systems will play a key leadership role on the Senior Management Team, as the College continues to go through a period of change – placing an ever-greater emphasis on excellence, innovation and a values-based approach.
We are looking for someone with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record in operational and resource management, who can ensure the principles and operation of the IT and E-Technology Departments are in alignment with the business objectives of the College.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and have the ability to build good working relationships with other departments. Someone who can take the lead on driving efficiency through the use of technology, and lead on strategic development, management and operations of the IT and E-Technology systems. They will also manage and motivate the IT and E-Technology teams to deliver an effective and highly regarded service.
