  • Closing date : 06/12/2021

Reporting directly to Chief Executive of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych), you will lead on all fundraising matters and advise on revenue-generating opportunities, helping to identify and design major projects in order to support the College’s strategic objectives, using your broad skills and knowledge of income generation and programme development.

This is a varied and exciting role, combining everything from leading on customer insight and marketing data, through to merchandising, working closely with College departments to help them develop commercial income streams, and identifying, engaging and developing long-term, high-level relationships with College officers, members, potential donors, grant-awarding bodies and strategic partners.

The post-holder will ensure the College formulates and implements a development strategy, incorporating fundraising and commercial development (including appropriate fundraising, commercial opportunities, communications, prospect lists, marketing outputs and fundraising timelines).

As a skilled fundraiser and income generator, you will combine a deep understanding of effective fundraising and business development techniques with a proven track record of raising substantial funds from trusts, foundations and high-net-worth individuals and managing strategic partnerships with commercial organisations. You will also have experience of running successful marketing campaigns and a natural flair for business development.

The successful candidate will be a natural communicator and have the ability to build good working relationships with other departments, and people at all levels, across the organisation and the membership. The post-holder will be determined to give psychiatrists an excellent level of service, in order to help them deliver excellent patient care.

We live by our values, which means you will share a passion for RCPsych’ s approach and content, across the range of our activity, as well as personal commitment to drive social change and to influence key parliamentarians and other senior stakeholders.

The College values a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community, reflecting the population it serves. We will consider putting into place appropriate reasonable adjustments for candidates who may have a disability.

We will consider putting into place appropriate reasonable adjustments for candidates who may have a disability.

We only recruit the best and in return for your commitment, the College offers an attractive salary and benefits.
