The Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring the long-term success of the College, maximising its impact and making sure it sets the agenda in the delivery of excellent mental health services, enabling psychiatrists and other mental health staff to deliver excellent patient care. It does this by rigorously testing the College’s strategy and effectiveness of its delivery, and ensuring strategic risks are identified and managed. As a member of the Board, you will act collectively to provide strategic leadership to the College; you will add value by contributing experience particularly in the area of Human Resources.
The successful candidate will bring demonstrable leadership experience and achievement in the HR field, with the ability to operate and think strategically and collectively. With a good understanding of corporate governance and board responsibilities, you will be an effective communicator who can challenge constructively and respectfully. You will also have a demonstrable ability to understand and evaluate complex issues, including budgets, business plans and annual accounts. An individual with independence and integrity, you will be supportive of the College’s values.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check.
