The focus of the National Clinical Audit of Psychosis is to examine and improve the quality of care received by people attending EIP services. You can read more about the project in our NCAP section.
The reference group will meet three times a year. Most of these meetings will be carried out via Microsoft teams however one meeting per year may take place face to face in London. The implementation group meet 6-12 times per year, usually held on Microsoft Teams, and is made up of the project team at the College and clinical advisors. The steering group usually meets twice a year to discuss a range of issues relating to the project. The group is made up of wide range of experts from across the UK and includes representatives of patient and carer organisations and people with lived experience of using services.
The Patient Representative (Advisory) is expected to occasionally chair the NCAP service user and carer reference group as well as attend and contribute to the implementation and steering group meetings. The Patient Representative (Advisory) will bring the collective patient/carer perspective from the reference group to decisions about at good care looks like, how to collect and interpret data about the care patients receive, and how to report the results.
RCPsych has developed a high media profile and is a leading organisation in terms of equality and diversity. It was a recent winner of Charity of the Year at the European Diversity Awards.
