The Royal College of Psychiatrists is seeking 2 Patient and 2 Carer Representatives to join the College Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI) core standards revision working group.
The CCQI is revising the core standards which are used across the College’s quality and accreditation networks. There are two sets of core standards for community and inpatient mental health services. The successful applicants will have experience of developing and using quality standards to assess mental health services.
The patient and carer representatives will attend two virtual workshops and work with a group of College staff and clinicians and will also comment via email on draft sets of standards. It is anticipated that the role will involve approximately five days of work.
RCPsych has developed a high media profile and is a leading organisation in terms of equality and diversity. It was a recent winner of Charity of the Year at the European Diversity Awards. This is an excellent opportunity for patients and carers to contribute their perspectives on ethics in relation to important mental health issues for and be part of our ongoing strategy and communications development.
