The College is seeking a self-motivated individual to support the RCPsych in Wales with policy and strategy development in this dynamic role.
The successful candidate will have a proven record of working in a busy and complex environment in a support role. They will have strong interpersonal skills, robust research and analysis capabilities and will be familiar with advocacy strategy development and delivery. Experience in writing for a policy-making audience is desirable as is a demonstrable knowledge of policy making processes.
Reporting to the RCPsych in Wales Manager, they will be required to use their own initiative in this small team. They will work closely with the elected and appointed members to provide a proactive environment that will support and develop mental health policy in Wales.
Flexibility and self-reliance are essential. The role entails a certain amount of travel across Wales and England with the need for occasional overnight stays. The College values a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community, reflecting the population it serves.
