About the role
The post holder will oversee the project management the development of national mental health implementation guides and/or a quality improvement programme. Usually working on two projects at once, agreeing processes, time-scales, coordinating the teams who produce the guidance and/or the quality improvement programme; ensuring all deadlines are achieved. This will involve close collaboration with a wide range of experts in the field. As a senior project manager, you will be responsible for the line management and supervision of other staff. You will ensure and develop consistent good quality project management across the NCCMH, working closely with the NCCMH senior team and Directors.
To be eligible, applicants should have a PRINCE2 qualification or equivalent, a proven track-record of delivering complex projects under pressure to deadlines, excellent managerial and organisational skills, excellent communication skills and experience of complex negotiation.
You should have a good knowledge of healthcare systems, experience of working with NHS England, NICE, HEE and NHS Improvement. The ability to communicate at a senior level with experts in the field and experience of undertaking consultation with stakeholders in health and social care.
