About the role
The College’s Invited Review Service (IRS) helps mental health providers in cases where severe difficulties have been identified which cannot be rectified by internal processes, and the circumstances don’t meet the criteria for involving the formal regulators.
We aim to provide services with clear and implementable recommendations to improve the quality of patient safety and care. The reviews may support services with concerns such as clinical service organisation, clinical service quality, clinical team functioning and the clinical practice of individual clinicians or teams.
We are looking for a psychiatrist to lead this programme of work, working with the IRS staff team at the College. The lead will support the development of the IRS and provide oversight and leadership to ongoing reviews.
The role provides an exciting opportunity for someone with an interest in safety and quality to support services to improve.
