A vacancy has arisen for a Specialist Advisor for Less than Full-Time (LTFT) to take up office in 2023.
The post is voluntary and the appointee should expect, with the agreement of his or her employer, to spend an average of 0.5 PA per week in the role. The post holder will be a member of the Education and Training Committee (ETC), the Trainee Support Committee and Heads of School, each of which meet three times a year.
The post holder will work with the President, Registrar and other College Officers and report to the Dean. They will also work with the Director of Professional Standards, Head of Training and Workforce and Training Manager.
The specialist advisor for LTFT will be responsible for advising the College on less than full-time training and supporting less than full-time trainees and wider psychiatric workforce. They will also represent the College when requested at relevant Committees at the Department of Health, Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC), GMC and other external organisations.
The post will appeal to a Consultant Member, Fellow, Specialist Associate or Affiliate of RCPsych who has an interest in the needs of LTFT trainees and wider workforce.
