Student Intern x2

  • Location : London
  • Status : 21 hours per week (1-25 August 2023)
  • Salary : £11.95 per hour (lunch allowance provided separately)
  • Closing date : 03/07/2023
  • Interview date : 18/07/2023

The RCPsych Student Internship Programme was created as it was recognised that some young people face a disadvantage when applying for higher education and employment, particularly in the fields of psychology and psychiatry.

We created this internship to offer the opportunity to gain valuable experience to those who may struggle to access other opportunities for a range of reasons, for example not being able to take an unpaid internship due to financial responsibilities.

We welcome applications from 16-17 year old students in the Tower Hamlet area who are currently eligible for free school meals.

The successful interns will join a busy department at the College team for four weeks (1 August to 25 August 2023) three days per week (days TBC) and will have the opportunity to work on a number of projects.

The intern’s interests and preferences will be taken into account as we are keen to make sure they are able to gain the most useful experience possible when working with us.

The following two roles are available for an internship placement.

  • Strategic Communications Intern
  • National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health Intern

See the Job Description for information on each department.

You should state your preferred placement on your application form.

Whilst we will try our best to ensure you are placed in your preferred role, this cannot be guaranteed, and if successful, you may be offered one of the other available internships.

This is a very exciting opportunity to work in a centre that has a world-class reputation.

The College values a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community, reflecting the population it serves.
