Professor Nicol Ferrier is Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Newcastle University. His clinical and research interests are in psychopharmacology and affective disorders. Since retiral, he has become interested in the History of Psychiatry and is in the final year of a part time PhD on that topic. He is on the Executive Committee of HoPSIG and edits it's Newsletter.
