Dr Santosh K Chaturvedi,
MD, FRCPsych [UK] is a Consultant Psychiatrist. He was Former Dean of
Behavioural Sciences and a Senior Professor of Psychiatry at the National
Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences, Bangalore, India. He was the
Head of Departments of Psychiatry, Mental Health Education, and Psychiatric
Rehabilitation Services. He is one of the Editors-in-Chief of the Journal of
Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Mental Health (Springers). He is Editor of the
book, Rural Mental Health (Springers Nature), Medically Unexplained Symptoms
& Chronic Pain (Paras Medical Publishers), Unmentor- the negative mentor
(Amazon KDP), and twenty other books. He was a Member, WHO’s Working Group on
the Classification of Somatic Symptom and Dissociative Disorders 2010-2012.
Currently, he is a Member, WHO Guideline Development Group (GDG) for the
proposed WHO Guideline on chronic primary low back pain in adults. His areas of
interest and research include Consultation Liaison Psychiatry; Chronic Pain
& Somatization; Psycho Oncology & Palliative Care. He has more than 630
publications in different International and National journals. He has edited
and / or published 25 books, manuals or journals
