Election results

Dr Adrian James beat Professor Kam Bhui and Professor Pamela Taylor and will become the College’s 17th President in July.

In addition, a wide range of other key roles were decided. Dr Maria Atkins was voted as the new chair of the RCPsych in Wales, while Dr Richard Wilson was elected chair of the RCPsych in Northern Ireland.

A range of other elections were held for positions on Division, Faculty and Special Interest Group executive committees and the Psychiatric Trainee Committee.

Elected candidates begin their terms of office at the College's AGM on 1 July.
