You, your patients and the public can join our campaign by asking the Chancellor for investment to #BuildBetterMentalHealth.
We are continuing the #BuildBetterMentalHealth campaign by adding the voices of people who use services and the public, as well as members, to influence the Treasury ahead of the Comprehensive Spending Review.
Over the years we’ve heard from you about challenging conditions at work because of old buildings that are not fit for purpose.
The Review is a crucial opportunity to put this right. That’s why we are asking for investment from the government that raises our mental health infrastructure to the standard your patients deserve and that matches the care that you provide.
Thanks to those of you who have already written to the Chancellor calling for this investment. This week we have started a public campaign.
Please do also encourage your wider networks of family, friends, members of the public and patients to get involved by sharing this link: www.rcpsych.ac.uk/BuildBetterMentalHealth2020
We have made it as easy as possible with a ready-made email to send with the chance to personalise it with your own experiences.
Decisions are being made now and we need your support to keep the pressure up.
You can find more information on our proposals in our document Next steps for funding mental health care in England which outlines the infrastructure, prevention, people and technology needs of mental health care.
