25 inspirational women

As a part of our 25 year anniversary celebrations, the Women in Mental Health Special Interest Group is looking to highlight the stories of 25 inspirational women members, fellows, affiliates or trainee psychiatrists who might be seen as unsung heroes or who are relatively hidden from the usual professional means of recognition and award.

We aim to embrace a whole range of personal attributes and career stages and trajectories. We are especially keen to hear how any personal or professional challenges have been impressively overcome or managed, for example you may be inspired by how a colleague has been able to return to their career or has continued to work despite difficulties with health or life outside of work.

We hope that these stories will remind us that success has many forms, especially when life outside of work is tough.

Do you know anyone whose story they would be happy for you to share? Perhaps you would like to nominate yourself? Please use our nomination form and come back to us by 19 October with your outlines and we will then do our best to select a representative range of entries to share more widely as our 25 Women.
