The College would like to welcome the new edition of the ‘Core Collection of Mental Health Books’, which has just been published by Tomlinsons.
The collection is a peer reviewed list of books produced in partnership with RCPsych with a foreword from our very own Wendy Burn. It aims to provide a high quality list of resources that organisations can make available to their clinicians to support their practice, development and research.
The volume of information available to health staff continues to grow at an exponential rate and resources like the Core Collection are crucial to help direct people to the best evidence out there.
This 4th edition has been has been fully updated by the Psychiatric Libraries Co-operative Scheme (PLCS) Committee based on the contributions of mental health librarians and clinicians in the NHS, Higher Education and special libraries as well as health practitioners working in this field. The PLCS committee thank all contributors for their involvement, making it a truly collaborative publication.
The Core Collection is supported by Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) Health Libraries Group and endorsed by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Please recommend the Collection to your local health library and help us ensure clinicians have access to top quality resources. Copies of the book are available from the publisher, Tomlinsons Book Service (firstname.lastname@example.org), and are free of charge to health libraries.
