Clinical Excellence Awards

Have you been performing over and above the level expected of you in your role?

If you have, now is the time to be preparing your application for a Clinical Excellence Award.

The Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA) has announced that the 2019 round will open on Thursday 7 February and close on Thursday 4 April. Clinical Excellence Awards recognise and reward NHS consultants and academic GPS who perform ‘over and above’ the standard expected of their role. Awards are given for quality and excellence, acknowledging exceptional personal contributions.

The College would like to encourage members to apply for the Awards and is committed to supporting them with their application; both by submitting a list of recommendations to ACCEA and by providing guidance on the application process. As ever, the College would particularly welcome applications from doctors of diverse backgrounds, including those who are female and/or BAME.

The Awards are expected to follow a similar format to previous years with further information about how to apply appearing on the College’s website in the next week.

In the meantime, for any queries relating to the awards please contact the awards administrator at
