RCPsych library on lockdown

The RCPsych Library has been working hard since the start of lockdown to make sure you can access everything you need, wherever you might be.

Luckily, our resources were always predominantly digital, since it is rare for most members to be able to visit the College.

However, we have added new services! At the start of the year we began work on a new collection of core ebooks, including Kaplan & Sadock's Comprehensive Textbook of Psychiatry, Principles of Inpatient Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry: A Practical Guide.

We have since added Disaster Psychiatry to the mix, which was recommended by a member interested in the chapters on pandemics and are now looking for books to support the neuropsychiatry curriculum. We would love to hear your recommendations!

We have also been running popular virtual library demos and troubleshooting sessions for any members that have started using the electronic resources more since the crisis started.

This way a member of library staff can quickly set up with a virtual meeting with you, share their screen and either talk you through the resources available or trouble shoot any problems you might be having.

As always we also offer free literature searches, inter-library loans and access to databases and online journals. If you have any questions or suggestions, please get in touch at infoservices@rcpsych.ac.uk.
